Developing good farming practices

Developing good farming practices

Our belief

The evolution of agricultural production methods is a key to controlling the environmental impact and health security of agricultural foodstuffs.  This is why we, at PAUL, support supply chains that comply with published, recognised standards in best farming practice.

 Our initiatives

  • Obtain flours from supply chains that respect good farming practices, and do not use insecticides after harvest
  • Source chocolate, tea and coffee from sustainable suppliers
  • Seek out suppliers of fruit and vegetables grown according to recognised good farming practice specifications

Our goals

  • To have 100% of our bakers’ flours sourced from sustainable suppliers from 2021
  • To source 100% of our teas, chocolate and coffee from fair trade suppliers by 2025
  • To source salads only from sustainable suppliers by 2024

 Our progress

  • 100% of our bakers’ flours (white, brown and wholewheat) are sourced from our PAUL sustainable supply chain and there is no treatment with insecticide after harvest
  • The coffee we serve in our PAUL le café network is Fair Trade certified (Rain Forest Alliance)
